Dr. Elizabeth Sweeney, M.D.

Dr. Elizabeth Sweeney, known as “Dr. Liz” joined Children’s Medical Center in 2016. Dr. Liz grew up in Houston, Texas. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan where she was a member of the women’s crew team.

She received her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio and then moved to Denver to complete her residency at Children’s Hospital Colorado. She and her husband fell in love with the mountains and outdoor lifestyle and decided to settle down in Denver.

Dr. Liz’s loves caring for children of all ages and watching her patients grow up. She is grateful to be both a mother and a pediatrician. Her clinical passions include behavioral and mental health as well as childhood obesity prevention and management. She and her husband have three boys. When she has free time she enjoys skiing, biking, hiking and being outdoors.
