Dr. Ali grew up in Denver and received her undergraduate degree from Tufts University. She worked as an AmeriCorps volunteer at Metro Community Provider Network before attending the University of Colorado for medical school. She completed her pediatric residency and chief residency at Children’s Hospital Colorado.
Following residency, Dr. Ali practiced as a hospitalist with Kaiser Permanente for 8 years before joining CMC. She was the Medical Director for the newborn nurseries at St. Joseph Hospital and Good Samaritan Medical Center from 2019-2023.
Her connection to CMC goes back to when she was a patient here growing up! It was while working at CMC during a summer home from college that she fell in love with pediatrics and knew that medicine was her calling. She then spent 4 years learning from Dr. Jay as a medical student during her preceptorship. She is so excited to join CMC and to continue to learn from and serve such an amazing group of doctors and patients.
Dr. Ali loves taking care of children of all ages and has clinical interests in breastfeeding, complex care coordination, managing infants born prematurely, and adolescent medicine. She and her husband, also a physician, have two young sons. Outside of work, Dr. Ali loves reading, doing yoga, Pilates, and barre classes, exploring the mountains, and most of all spending time with her family.
