Dr. Erin Ambardekar, M.D.
Dr. Erin Ambardekar joined Children’s Medical Center in March 2009 (although she became part of the Children’s Medical Center family first as a parent a few years earlier). She grew up in Wisconsin and then migrated south to Chicago – attending Northwestern University for both her undergraduate and medical degrees. In medical school, she graduated with AOA honors and concurrently attained a Master’s degree in Public Health.
She met her Iowa-grown husband in medical school, and they moved cross- country to Denver and the University of Colorado for their respective residency trainings in 2003 — hers in pediatrics and his in internal medicine/cardiology. They have two children and are currently learning to navigate the nuances of adolescence.
Dr. Erin’s clinical interests include breastfeeding/lactation support, asthma, congenital heart disease, adolescent medicine, mental/behavioral health, and brainstorming through parenting dilemmas. Outside the office, she loves running, swimming, barre, walking the dog, and most of all, being a wife and mom. She is forever grateful to have Children’s Medical Center as both a medical home for her children and as well as her “professional” family. It is an exceptional place to practice pediatrics.
