Happy New Year! We hope all of you enjoyed a safe and healthy holiday season. We wanted to give some updates and reminders for the new year.
Reminders:
Insurance Cards and Annual Paperwork – We need annual updates on your insurance card and your signed paperwork. The most efficient way to do this is via your ECheck in on MyChart. At your first appointment of the year, you can sign all paperwork (each child needs this, it is not a family form), update or verify your insurance coverage and upload your current insurance card copy into your MyChart account.
Well Visits – CMC believes in the primary care model of prevention and embraces the well visit as a method of ensuring strong relationships with our patients and families. All children need to be seen for their well visits per the AAP schedule which can be reviewed on our website at Well Visit – Children’s Medical Center (cmcpediatrics.com). Not only is it required for sport/school and camp form updates, referrals, and medication refills, Insurance companies hold primary care providers responsible for patients attending these visits by impacting our overall rating which can affect things like tiered copays and overall reimbursement to the practice. All well visits can also be scheduled online through MyChart, if you cannot find a time/day that works for you please contact the office at (303)830-7337 Option #2.
Cancellations – Please remember we need 24 hours’ notice to cancel an appointment or it goes down as a no show. The cancellation can be done via your reminder, on MyChart (within 24 hours) or by calling the office. This time of year, we have high demand for our sick patients so please know we try and be as efficient as possible with the schedule to ensure all patients are getting what they need when they need it, this notice allows us to make sure we have the time to do that for everyone.
MyChart Patient Advice Requests – Please remember this MyChart option is only for NON-URGENT messages. The expectation of reply on these messages is 72 hours, so please do not message anything that needs to be addressed same or next day as these in baskets are not monitored on weekends and holidays.
Updates:
Sick Visit Scheduling – Thank you all for helping us work through our online sick visit scheduling. We believe we have worked out most of the kinks and it seems to be working well. We are releasing our availability for sick visit scheduling the day before, not just same day which means please make sure you are scheduling for the day you want to come.
MyChart ECheck In and Questionnaires – the ECheck in process has many benefits for the office, but one of them is allowing your questionnaires to be sent directly to your provider at the time of your check in. This enables your provider to review responses and prepare better for your appointment by having all of the information in the chart to support the visit. ECheck-in can be done up to 72 hours prior to your appointment.
