Home/Immunization/Pfizer Covid Vaccine 6 Month to 4 Years

Pfizer Covid Vaccine 6 Month to 4 Years

PLEASE DO NOT CALL THE CLINIC, SCHEDULE ONLINE IN MYCHART. CMC will be providing the Pfizer vaccine to all patients over 6 months beginning immediately. We have already been giving Pfizer vaccine for the older than 5 years old and up population, so logistically (for reasons of vaccine storage and minimizing vaccine errors), we will be continuing to offer Pfizer vaccines for those under 5 years old.  If you have a pre-existing clinic appointment we will administer at that time. If you would like to come in for an Immunization Clinic, please go online to MyChart and self schedule under the Immunization visit type. You will need to Echeck in and sign the vaccine consent form to make the clinic visit as efficient as possible. If you need a booster shot for children over 4 years old, you can also schedule those visits online in the Immunization Clinic visit. The 6 month to 4 year 3 dose vaccine schedule is as follows: Dose #1 and Dose #2 minimum 21 days apart. Dose #3 minimum of 8 weeks after 2nd dose. There are appointments for Dose #2 currently available, please make sure you schedule per the above requirements or your appointment will be cancelled. The current CDC recommendation is that if you have tested positive for Covid and want to vaccinate it is safe to receive the vaccine after the 10 day isolation period is over.

Children’s Medical Center does realize there are two vaccines approved for the 6 months to 5 year old age range, Moderna versus Pfizer.  We do not recommend one vaccine over another.  If you choose to vaccinate with Moderna, please remember you must continue with this series, as vaccines cannot be mixed and matched.
