As quoted in the article: “According to the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), infestations are common among children aged 3 to 12 years.1 Head lice occur regardless of socioeconomic status or hygienic living conditions and are common in many parts of the world, with an incidence in school children ranging from 2% to 52%.”
