Several years ago, with support from the Community Child Health Foundation, Children’s Medical Center began offering case management and behavioral health services. Currently there are two providers at CMC who are independent contractors, Kristen Roy and Masako Suzuki.
Typically, following an intake with parents, children and youth meet with our mental health providers at CMC. A typical session is 45-60 minutes.

Kristen Roy, LCSW
Kristen Roy
Kristen is a mom and has been working at CMC since early 2004. Kristen is able to provide individual and family therapy. She is available to help with a variety of issues including: mental health, parenting, anxiety, depression, ADHD, school and family problems.

Masako Suzuki, LPC
Masako Suzuki
Masako (pronounced Mah-sah-ko; she/her/hers) is a Licensed Professional Counselor with an emphasis of trauma-focused psychodynamic approach. Masako incorporates Synergetic Play Therapy (SPT) in her practice and utilizes play materials as a means to communicate symbolically. Masako has experience working with high-risk youth, crime victims, children and their families to help treat anxiety, trauma, depression, relational conflict, and life transitions. In personal time, Masako enjoys traveling, flower arranging, and spending down time with her family and friends.
Insurance Coverage
Most insurance plans cover behavioral and mental health services. Our providers are able to bill many of the large insurance companies for their services. They can also make referrals to therapists outside of CMC, if necessary.
