As the world has unwound from the Covid pandemic, so will Children’s Medical Center. CMC will go back to having one entrance for all visits effective 8/1/2024. With this change, we will also move to having designated areas in the waiting room for well patients and sick patients, so please pay attention to signage when you arrive.
We have improved our workflows to try and limit the amount of time newborns and sick children spend in the waiting room. Our patients and families can help support this transition by completing E-Checkin for every visit – which includes verifying insurance, signing forms, and completing questionnaires in MyChart prior to arriving at the office. When you arrive at the clinic, you will still complete Check-In with the front desk. For most newborn and sick visits, we will strive to have a room preassigned for you, and as long as the room is ready, the front staff will then direct you to your exam room to wait and meet your doctor’s support staff.
While we know this is a significant change, we have worked to make it as smooth as possible for providers and patients. Please let us know if you have any questions.
